Plant Ecology

There are various facets of plant ecology. Some divide the field into two types: autecology (focusing on individual plants and how the environment affects them) and synecology (focusing on plant communities, how the environment influences them, and how plant communities influence the environment). Some others divide the field into several parts: floristics (focusing on the distribution of plants and considering plants from a numerical point of view), plant geography (focusing on the distribution of plant communities), and plant sociology (the same as synecology). All of these require an awareness of constant change and interactions
